A little cold can't stop us!

Well, it's been a crazy week!  Between black ice and basketball, we haven't attended a full day of school this week. However, today we learned about the incredible habits of Emperor penguins in Antarctica. We learned how the mom and dad work together to take care of their baby. The kids loved watching the chick grow up on the National Geographic produced MARCH OF THE PENGUINS. Also, several children checked out their first AR book today. We are focused!!!  😊

I MUSTACHE you to be my Valentine😍

The hit of the day was the Cupids' Arrow Game!  We used a straw and cotton swab and a few Cupid "targets"!  What a fun day celebrating friendship❤️. The cupcakes and raspberry sherbet punch were delicious!

Fun Valentine Tissue Paper Art

This project offers the kids an opportunity to practice fine motor skills (cutting and wrapping the tissue paper square around the tip of a pencil), design and creativity skills. Another important lesson taught is "perseverance", a trait that helps children be successful in school in many ways.
